![]() ![]() This game has a lot in common with the other I just reviewed, Amazing Adventures: The Lost Tomb. I purchased this game in a bundle of Popcap games, which in my opinion is the only way you should get a hold of a copy of this game. Still, I wouldn't really recommend this game, unless you have great patience and tolerance for redundant gameplay and repetitive actions. With well over 2000 objects to find, it will definitely take some time - and I took this time to find all of them without taking hints. One small highlight, however, was the finding of all 50 locks, which would then permit to play the bonus games, as well as looking for all the objects in every of the 25 pictures. There's 25 levels, and on average, you'll have to go through 4 or 5 different places to look for objects. In my opinion, searching for 80 objects in one level (the highest amount you'll have to find) is just too much. While I did finish the story mode of Escape Rosecliff Island completely, and did have a fair amount of fun with the concept of searching for objects hidden where you'd expect them least, the game very, very quickly became very redundant. If so, buy it if it is on sale for 90 percent off. Verdict: Don't spend 5 dollars for this game unless you happen to enjoy visiting the same hidden object scenes over and over. On the plus side, the artwork is nice, with the hidden object scenes not being overly cluttered, and the items were often cleverly hidden. As much as I enjoy hidden object games, even I found myself overwhelmed with mind-numbing boredom. ![]() As you progress along, you begin to see the same hidden object scenes again. Upon completion of the puzzle games, you are rewarded an item to assist in your escape, such as a bucket or a stack of wood. The gameplay consists of you bouncing from one hidden object scene to the next, and as you finish a "level," you complete a simple "puzzle" game such as a word search or matching tiles. There is no dialogue with NPCs, no narration, nothing. There is no explanation as to who the previous resident(s) of the island were, or why the island is now deserted. Not even for the price of 5 dollars.Īpparently the plot states that you have been shipwrecked on Rosecliff Island, and your task is to collect items to help you escape. All in all, Escape Rosecliff Island is an excellent hidden objects and puzzle solving game to play.I wish I could recommend this game, but I can't. there is no shortage of challenging aspects in the game and there are a series of obstacles in your path that will keep you hooked onto the game for a very long time. The graphics and the atmosphere of the game have been created very well and there are a lot of amazing locations to explore and find things in. The lack of many levels is a downside to the game, but it is still a lot of fun to play. there are also a number of word searches in the game that you will have to carry out when playing Escape Rosecliff Island. The puzzles are also quite a handful and you will need your skills rightfully honed in order to win the game. The intricate plot of the game is an added advantage that keeps you engrossed in the game for a very long time. There is no shortage of challenges in Escape Rosecliff Island, and you will have to have all your wits about you before you lose time and the game ends. The game play is very reminiscent of the hidden objects game genre, and will appeal to the fans of that genre. There are 25 very strange locations that you will be a part of, and there are a series of very strangely hidden objects in the game and you will have to locate and secure all of them before you run out of the time that you have been allotted. ![]() This game will test all of your skills when it comes to solving puzzles and mysteries in a single go. You are a part of a terrible shipwreck and you will have to muster all your wits in order t o Escape Rosecliff Island. ![]()
